Italian Renaissance nativity in St. John's Chapel In the countryside close by there were shepherds living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear.

The oratory known as St. John's Chapel, located at the north end of the first floor of the Big House, features this Italian Renaissance crèche by Fontanini, made of resin.

Celtic nativity The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.
