As a contemplative-eremitical community, we celebrate this season of waiting and anticipation in a spirit of silence and solitude. With expectant joy we celebrate that our God chose to become one of us and to walk among us. With ardent hope we welcome the Word continuing to become flesh within us and within our world.

In our prayerful preparation for the birth of Jesus, we reflect on our preparedness to meet him as he comes. We seek to behold him daily in the Eucharist and in the Word proclaimed, in our hearts, in those we meet, and in all creation.

The prayerful ambiance of the season is seen in the chapels at Lebh Shomea and in nature which surrounds the House of Prayer.
